Pilgrimage, we worked quite a bit on this Canal des Houillères, we brought pebbles from Cayeux or Hourdel to our holds in Picardy which, reduced to dust, were used by the local ceramists. Then we tried to get going again. The couple who ran this lock at the time happily bartered a little bit of everything, you arrived at their lock, it was a whole vegetable garden on display, we bartered a few Belgian beers and some lace. VNF their boss put a stop to it, we were indeed delinquents. It seems that the place is, according to the Town Hall, the official parking area for camper vans. In any case it's calm and very nice. Chalet restaurant on the corner of the street not to be missed
